puppies are now 7 wks old. Found out today that Edi's name means Enhanced Defense Intelligence. I knew J got the name from a game, but I didn't think it would be that. All the puppies know their names. So far all their personalities are similar to Ming. People-orientated. Loves to be held and cuddled. Bark minimally. Smart. Traits from Toby: fur and curled over tails. Two puppies with apple shaped heads. The other four look more like Ming. They are all potty trained; using their pee pads and junk.
Switched them to solid food. Still supplementing with the canned puppy food in the mornings and they still nurse sometimes. If Ming lets them of course.
They are roaming the house now, but are limited to my bedroom at night. They all have collars on with bells for safety reasons. Pink for girls. Red for Little Guy and blue for Tucker.
Chew toys are everywhere. They really like this little bunny I found at Walmart. It's a crinkling cat toy. Got them some yam chews, toy sized dentastix, balls, and small loofa dogs.
Although they do enjoy the toys, my feet, toes in particular, seem to be preferred.
They are getting used to my brother's not girlfriend's kids. A 3 year old boy and 1 year old girl. Issiah is good with the puppies and careful. I'm glad he understands they aren't toys and need to be handled with care. Ireland has tried to poke and pull of them. Tried. NOT succeeded. I discouraged Heather from allowing Ireland to hold the puppies until she's a little older and less likely to hurt them. We're working to show her how to pet gently on Ming first. Mingy loves the kids.
Not looking forward to them leaving.
